The music of Xiuh is a call for our connection to life, to Mother Earth and love vibration. We create Medicine Music with a twist of folk, traditional ceremonial, harps and ambient. Harmoniously blending musical styles and instruments to tune into healing frequencies and rythms.

« Elevo mi corazón

 para estar contigo,

 eres luz del cielo,

 luz de fuego,

luz de amor«

The word « Xiuh » is the nahuatl root word to represent the pure energy manifested in the fire as a turquoise blue shade. It is also used to name the one turn of the earth around the Sun. The turquoise stone acording to the native american tribal legends in Mexico and USA simbolizes the water that has fallen from the sky bringing abundance. Water, sky, health and protection.

Many ancestral instruments can help us reach higher consciousness through their vibration. These for the purpose of meditation and awareness.

« Mi blossoms shall not end, mi songs shall not cease.
It is me, the singer who raises and spreads songs.
Even when the flowers wither and turn brown,
They shall be taken there, to the interior of the house
of the gold plumage bird. »

-Poem by Nezahualcoyotl

From the age of 6 Yaneli had a clear understanding that she would dedicate her life to singing, it was not hard to see it since either in the gardens of the primary school or when walking in the majestic woods of Michoacan ( Mexico ) she would always sing for the flowers and nature. Since then, learning and creativity have evolved through different genres such as Jazz, Blues, Bossa Nova, Native American, and Traditional Mexican. Currently, she has 13 LPs in her career, 5 full with original tracks and the rest is collaboration work for a big label in Mexico.
